6:00pm PANEL: NAVIGATING NEW LANDSCAPES: HIP HOP, SOCIETY & CULTURE
Turn Out Richmond: Hip Hop, Community & Culture. Centered on music as a bridge within the global community, and a discussion on the Way Forward including the artist+audience relationship and expanding music brands as a growing stabilizing force. This think tank will dive deeper into ideation – creating a pool of shared ideas and tangible possibilities. Also in discussion, drilling deeper into artist and business collaborations & how to coordinate across creative platforms effectively in ‘22.
Followed by live music performances from 7:15-11:30pm with local favorites and special guest artists from Hampton, NYC, Atlanta, and Germany.

The Big Hit, a brief workshop kicks this special session off, presented by Ashish Manchanda. Followed by a roundtable discussion on the importance of sync placements & future trends: film+music+media. Led & Moderated by Ashish Manchanda, RIFF, Boon Castle, IYE.
· Brief songwriting workshop on writing 'the big hit' and cinematic songwriting for film.
· Case studies & sampling of hooks for feedback.

· Panel: Business of Film, Television & Music. Focusing on building your brand, audience engagement techniques, and connecting musicians with filmmakers. Followed by Pitch Session. RIFF, Boon Castle Label, IYE, and Guest Filmmaker Panelists will be reviewing live song pitches, on site. Participants are welcome to bring acoustic instruments to accompany them and/or tracks for the pitch session. Also recommended, bring your social media handles, website, and EPK if you would like feedback from the panel portion.

Calling all creatives. Bring your 1 minute pitch to speed date around the room with fellow creatives. This is networking on steroids. Also welcome to bring samples of your work, or other artistic items for exhibition. Filmmakers, musicians, writers, visual artists, and creatives from all fields are welcome.

A sign up sheet will also be available on the day of, but those signed up in advance will be given first priority. Moderated by Heather Waters. Panelists: John Gray, Cory Choy, Eva Habbermann, Sarah Mack, Ben Ankla, Michael Wolfe, Julien Mabin. Others TBA.
· Annual pitch session for writers, producers, directors & actors
· Pitch Your Project to Industry Pros in 60 Seconds or Less. A brief panel discussion on how to nail the pitch with laser sharp focus. Followed by a pitch session where writers, directors, actors, and producers. will have the opportunity to pitch to the producer’s panel for feedback and direction.
